Bauer 5100 Helmet Review 2024 – We are taking a look at the Bauer 5100 helmet. This is a new helmet by Bauer it kind of takes the 9,500 shells and put some different materials in it offering a great price point and awesome protection out of it.
It is a two-piece shell design that has tool-free adjustment features. You just need to flip both sides so it will allow you to expand it and contrast it fitting to your head a little bit better flipping that down.
Taking a look at the inside, you will have the bubble-out earpiece just a little more comfortable still offering that protection. Also on the inside, Bauer uses a triple density foam that is kind of a softer material for comfort as well as the black denser material for maximum protection.

They also use the hex absorb material which is a kind of honeycomb looking material this is an extremely dense foam that also offers additional protection as well as allowing air to travel through the helmet decreasing the temperature inside as well.
This Bauer 5100 helmet also comes in the helmet cage combo. It has an over oval size design that increases the visibility a little bit while still keeping the integrity of the cage. It uses a neutral color kind of a dark grey which is going to increase visibility on ice as well as whatever rink you are playing on.
You will also notice the chin cup that is free-floating. The strap is not going all the way down by itself. This is also going to increase the visibility as well as being a dual-density foam. So it is really going to be comfortable and still offer you that elite-level protection.
